RESOLVED: The members of Pi Lambda Theta recommend that P-12 schools adopt Computerized Adaptive Testing programs.
RESOLVED: The members of Pi Lambda Theta support the federal government’s New Freedom Initiative to increase access to assistive technologies through investment in research, assist in bringing new technologies to market, increase funding to low-interest loan programs for purchasing assistive technology, and increase IDEA funds to states to use at the local level.
RESOLVED: The members of Pi Lambda Theta support the extension of the federal government’s State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to cover families whose incomes are between $60,000 and $80,000.
RESOLVED: The members of Pi Lambda Theta recommend that all of the Arts disciplines, including Visual and Performing Arts, be integrated into NCLB standards, and that all Arts Education be taught by teachers who are highly qualified in the Arts subjects they are teaching.
