How We Use Member Information
We use individual member information only to contact members on association business. You may limit the kind of contacts you receive from us by emailing us at office@pilambda.org and specify one of the following:
Do not send me the Newsletter by e-mail. (Send me paper copies of the Newsletter instead. I understand that this choice will not limit other e-mail messages from PLT.)
Do not send me any e-mail messages. (I understand that notification of member benefits and other opportunities is made exclusively by e-mail.)
For more information or to report abuse, e-mail postmaster@pilambda.org.
How We Acquire Member Information
We obtain member information only from members themselves.
We acquire information on qualified candidates for membership from universities, award sponsors, and other nominators. That information is used only once, for the purpose of inviting the candidate to join PLT, after which it is deleted.
Release of Member Information to Third Parties
Our policy is not to release member information to anyone except our chapter officers. There is one exception: the Trust for Insuring Educators (TIE) and its participating companies.
TIE makes exceptional insurance values available to PLT members. PLT is one of more than sixty education associations that comprise the TIE governing board. We receive no royalty, fee, commission, or other consideration from the TIE program. Our sole reason for participating is to make a valuable benefit available to our members.
We will not release your information to TIE if you request that by emailing us at office@pilambda.org and specify:
Please do NOT release my information to TIE or its participating companies.
